Direct thermal cryogenic labels for labeling frozen vials and tubes. The specially formulated adhesive provides reliable adhesion to frozen surfaces at application temperatures down to -80°C. The labels can be applied directly without overlap or additional lamination.
Frozen samples can be labeled or relabeled immediately after removal from cryogenic storage and then returned to liquid nitrogen or ultra-low temperature freezers. No thawing or warming to room temperature is required. This helps maintain the cold chain during the labeling process while minimizing the exposure of temperature-sensitive samples to higher temperatures.
The labels are suitable for long-term storage in liquid nitrogen (-196°C), -80°C laboratory freezers, and dry ice transportation. They maintain reliable adhesion under extreme cryogenic conditions and remain stable during repeated freeze-thaw cycles and temperature fluctuations. They are also resistant to water and condensation and withstand immersion and thawing in water baths. Both the label material and the printed image are resistant to mild solvents and commonly used laboratory chemicals, including alcohol-based sprays and disinfectant wipes.
The direct thermal cryogenic labels are compatible with common direct thermal label printers and can be printed without ribbons or ink. This makes them easy to integrate into existing laboratory workflows for the fast and reliable identification of frozen samples.
