Direct Thermal Cryo Labels for Frozen Labware and Containers. These direct thermal printable cryogenic labels are ideal for labeling already frozen tubes, vials, and other containers at application temperatures as low as -80 °C. The labels can be applied directly to frozen surfaces, eliminating the need to thaw valuable temperature-sensitive samples during the labeling process. Frozen containers can be labeled immediately after removal from cryogenic storage and returned to liquid nitrogen or ultra-low temperature freezers for further preservation once labeled.
The labels are resistant to commonly used laboratory chemicals, including detergents, alcohol (up to 15 minutes in 100% ethanol), xylene (up to 30 minutes), other organic solvents, disinfectants, and cleaning wipes. They are also water- and condensation-resistant and suitable for use during thawing in water baths.
These unique properties make these direct thermal cryogenic labels an ideal solution for labeling temperature-sensitive samples and ensuring stability in low-temperature environments, including long-term storage in liquid nitrogen (-196 °C) and ultra-low temperature freezers (-80 °C), as well as dry ice transport. Furthermore, the labels can be easily printed with direct thermal label printers, without the need for a ribbon.
